Taz joined Peak in 2007 and is one of their senior instructors, teaching at Merton Rd, St Heliers, and Parnell Branches. She has been involved with the world of Health and Movement education for over 25 yrs.
In 1994 she obtained a Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Body Massage at The London School of Massage. This led her to continue her studies in Advanced and Remedial Massage and Myofascial release. In 2002 she qualified as a Fitness/Personal Instructor and worked in the Woman’s Gym at Les Mills for 3 years. Since being with Peak she has studied under Stability Plus, Stott, Basi, and Polestar Pilates Training Bodies allowing her to get a broad outlook and understanding of the Pilates Repertoire. Her combined knowledge and rich movement background of competitive athletics and dance contribute to her style which is eclectic and purposeful.
Her unending curiosity for learning and updating her knowledge continues to enrich and enliven her teaching approach. She regularly attends workshops/courses in her field of expertise. In 2013 she certified as a Fascial Fitness Instructor and in 2019 completed the very first Fascial Movement Instructor course run by Stott Pilates. She continues to follow the latest research on the fascial system with fascination. She synchronizes all her studies and collected knowledge to give creative-functional classes whilst challenging each individual to explore their potential with a balanced Mind/Body connection. She teaches with enthusiasm, clarity, and intention along with a well-trained eye. Taz loves how the Pilates principles can be tailored for the individual regardless of age, condition, or injury and feel that its adaptability, is what makes it the perfect exercise for everybody.
